Day 175
4:45 pm

survival – continuance

in states of perpetual
war,
is not the only way to continue

when we learn to evolve?

WCC Day 22 – Week 4: Everything under the Rainbow
final week for the Women’s Creative Collective Writers’ Workshop

my sister

she loves the taste of her salty skin
after a day of ripping through caution
tape, stop signs and faulty arguments

she loves beating on small, modern
Neanderthals with a quick twist of her
tongue and absolutely no physical contact

she loves
the sound of
her heart songs

and this is
why
i love her

(now, WCC February Writers’ Workshop writer-sisters…your turn to
continue this verse with yours, please…)

(a poem on sisters is never done,
by only
one…)
