Day 199
6:40 pm

beauty – 1 – sister Libya

because we need more beauty, i
must seek it

we do not know each other yet
but we are sisters, i

will send her a note of promise
and a strip of blank paper, it

will arrive at her doorstep in a
small, thick, green jar, deep

hidden in this jar of spice, she
will find my heart, hidden, it

will read of a pledge to find her
surrounded by my arms, it

will speak of requests for her
recipes of reawakenings, i

will admit to misunderstanding
just how she does it every day, i

will ask for a simple exchange
of resources for more wisdom, she

might oblige me for no other reason
but we need more beauty, today
