Day 205
12:47 am

Stork

i am about to commit a
crime.

duct tape and soft cotton rag
are in place

aluminum case,
trunk

that damn bird has flown
overhead

fifteen times in the past
year

sneering at me every
time

waiting for me to build a
chimney

wide enough to accept his
package

i kept waving him
away

but it is clearly, finally
time

cryogenic chamber,
fired up

i will be swift and gentle, i
like winged things

swoop down, snatch
klonk

he will have to remain
frozen

until i am at least 45 and
ready for

that nasty little bird to be re-
born
