Day 235 – try

Day 235

Even if just for today,
I’ve decided to
stop adding
honey to my memories
and take stock of the
gifts in my present,

To pause on dwelling
amongst the shadows
of my past who tell me
to draw curtains on my

To place a lock on the
voices who tell me this
goes against my nature,

To look for the oddest,
scariest, deepest, murkiest
hole I can find

And jump in

If I survive, I will do a

If I die, I won’t be around
to know or note
the difference

Most likely, I’ll
just see
on the other side
