Day 244
8:00 am

There shall be a story about
my mother.

We will have to find it first.

It may require a rope
or a scalpel.

Definitely a shovel.

And hopefully some water and
dirt for replanting.

Her bones are somewhere,
chattering underneath my
father’s grave,
or lost in a time vault
buried within hours of
changing her nest
many moons ago,
making way for
renaming ceremonies and
collapsible romances,
hard to see now as I look
for better tools and hidden soil
to help me reach

into her past

so I may see her now

and find her bones.
