Day 283

E – 18 – rewrite

Excavation

18. caves
.

.
She goes to it

She hides from it

She walks away

She crawls back in

She asks her roots
for forgiveness

She knows the shovel
might disturb their feelings

She senses she must
dig

She fears what she
needs to find

She wakes up ready
one day

She flees the scene
on the next

She is getting closer

She can hear questions
rap on the story’s door

She just moves a
little slow

She likes the holes
she gets to choose
