Day 309
12:45 pm

99 days will pass through words
and nothing else
.

(Or – In Defense of Poly)

Another 99 days will pass
And I will have written
The rewrites
On
The Heart,
And
Bodies breaking in half,
And minds tying themselves into double knots,
And hands grasping at the bark of old trees
when no one else is watching,
And self-flagellation and the undeniable
humor related to ultimate sorrow

When really,
I want to write
Of a womyn

With an
Existence on two planets,
With two hearts
In one body
In the same time period,
Where
He is her earth
so she has ground to stand upon,
Where
She is her fire
so she must articulate her arguments,
Where
You are her air
so she can breathe,
Where
The womyn’s water is what
Makes the elements
Flow together to
Bridge the
Text

And have the entire tale be
Recognized as
Non-fiction

Why does the page
Insist on being the
Only space
Where this
Fantasy can
Exist as reality

When the deepest reaches
Of my heart and gut know
Every portion of this story to be

Truth
